Roosevelt will be sponsoring the "Conscious Choice" program at the school again this year. The program is for child-free female students at the school (grades 9-12), and is designed to encourage the participants to delay parenthood, stay in school and succeed academically and professionally.
The program offers a scholarship to UMSL to one senior student per year, based upon an essay contest.
Mentors would commit to volunteering approximately 2 hours per month, and would need to complete and submit the district's background screening forms and an application (neither is time-consuming to complete).
Go to the "Contact Us" page and send an email if you would like to get a copy of the forms.
