Background:

The Roosevelt High School Community Council (RCC) was established in March of 2007 as a community-based volunteer council to support the school and bridge the divide that had developed over time between the neighborhoods surrounding the school and the school.  The council works to connect the school to the broader resources of the community with the purpose of building close relationships among students, staff and the community through supportive activities, mutual engagement and education.
