Roosevelt Community Council meeting Tuesday, December 2, 2014 4:30 pm

Just a reminder that the Roosevelt Community Council will meet tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, December 2nd, at 4:30 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We will meet in Room 023 at the school, 3230 Hartford St.  The room is on the ground floor; enter through the main front doors off Hartford. There is parking on the east side of the building off Compton.

Football Breakfasts Update

We had our 5th Football Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014. The last one will be on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Student cadets from the Roosevelt High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC have volunteered at three of the breakfasts. Adult volunteers from the Young Life program ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Young-Life-St-Louis-City/50992473679   ) volunteered at another breakfast. The RCC itself provided the volunteers for the first breakfast in August. The August Gate Church, located here in Tower Grove East, will provide the volunteers for the last breakfast on October 18, 2014.  http://www.augustgate.com/ A big Thank You to all of the volunteers - the breakfasts could not happen without them !! Late Update - Homecoming Game is Saturday, Sept. 27th 2014 1:30 pm at RHS

A game was added and Homecoming was moved - Homecoming game is tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 27th, 2014 at 1:30 pm at the school, 3230 Hartford. Entry gate to the field is at the corner of Wyoming & Compton, and admission is $4.00. There is a concession stand with hotdogs, nachos, sodas. The Roughriders will play Madison College Prep (an SLPS school).

Thanks to Jim Bennett of the Roosevelt Alumni Association and the Roosevelt Community Council for the following photos. The caterer is Euylan Welch of Welchone Catering. The volunteers for the day were cadets from the Marine Corps Junior ROTC at Roosevelt. The Roosevelt Alumni Association is a major donor to the breakfasts. This info is from the Post Dispatch. There is a home game on Saturday, September 27, 2014, 1:30 pm at the school which is not on this list - Homecoming game. Please note that admission to the games is normally $4 per person, payable at the "gate" at the corner of Compton & Wyoming (at Gravois).
