RCC Meeting Tuesday, January 8, 2013

The Roosevelt Community Council will meet on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 4:30 pm in Room 007, on the ground floor of the RHS building. The school is located at 3230 Hartford. Parking is on the Compton side of the building -- enter through the main entrance off Hartford (if the entrance off Compton is locked).

We are re-ordering the Roosevelt Breakfast Blend coffee, and there should be a fresh batch ready for purchase at LaMancha Coffeehouse on Wednesday of this week. Stop by and pick up a pound or two (whole bean or ground), and have a muffin and a cup of coffee at the same time. The price is $12.00 per pound plus sales tax, with all profits going to the Roosevelt Football Breakfasts. The coffee is a Brazilian single-origin and we have had favorable feed-back on the quality of the coffee.

LaMancha is located at 2815 North 14th Street, one half block north of the historic Crown Candy Kitchen (N. 14th Street and St. Louis Avenue), and offered to sponsor this fund-raiser for Roosevelt.  http://www.lamanchacoffeehouse.com/
LaMancha just expanded its hours and is now open on Mondays. Check the website (menu page) to confirm days & hours of operation or call 314-932-5581.

UPDATE RE TICKETS:      Tickets will be bought using the HomeTown Ticketing App. Spectators will pay online through their phones or home computers. They can purchase ahead of  time or scan the QR codes posted at the gate and purchase the day of the event. $6 plus small credit card fee for football games. After you get to the HomeTown Ticketing App, try searching for "Roosevelt PHL" to find the correct Roosevelt. Use a credit card to purchase the ticket. Once you have the ticket (via email), take a screenshot on your phone so that you can show the photo to the person at the gate. Roosevelt 100th Anniversary event - Sunday, January 26, 2025

The Roosevelt Community Council and the Roosevelt HS Alumni Association will be holding a Centennial event on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Roosevelt High School, 3230 Hartford St., St. Louis MO  63118. Building tours at noon and a program at 1:00 pm. This is the actual 100th anniversary of the day the Roosevelt building first opened for students. An event is also being planned for the fall of 2025, to coincide with Homecoming, and we would welcome alumni of any year to join us to plan for this centennial year.
