 We are planning to meet at the school for our next RCC meeting, which is Oct. 4th, 2022 at 4:30p. We expect to meet either in a classroom or somewhere near Door 5 to the building, which is the entrance door just north of the Compton side staff parking lot.   Entry is $5 per person - bring cash, and enter at the gate at the corner of Compton and Wyoming (and Gravois). There are usually refreshments for sale. Game schedule is below. Saturday games (12:00 noon start) are on Sept. 3, 10, 24, and Oct. 15 and 22. Coach Scott, his assistant coaches, and the team need our support!

A big THANK YOU  to all who donated to and attended our August 27th fundraiser. And many thanks to the volunteers who made it happen. It was our best ever, and lots of fun besides!!   RCC Supporters - A reminder that our Roosevelt Football Breakfast fundraiser is this coming Saturday, August 27, from 2 to 7 pm at Riley's Pub, at the corner of Arsenal & Arkansas. Please share the JPG (on your neighborhood FB or wherever seems appropriate). Also, invite your friends & family, and plan to attend!! There will be food for purchase, drinks available from Riley's (they donate a portion of the day's sales to us), raffle items from local businesses, and neighbors to visit with.  If you want to help that day, we will be setting up canopies outside Riley's and firing up the grill at about 12:30 that day.  We agreed at our last meeting to move our first-Tuesday-of-the-month meeting back a week, due to the Missouri primary election on August 2.  Our big fundraiser is still on for August 27th - see prior post!!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 5, 2022.  We are not sure how it happened, but the ad for the RCC in the 2022 Tower Grove East / South Grand Community Directory says that we meet on the second Tuesday of the month, rather than on the first Tuesday. Apologies for the error. 

 Principal Dancy wants to set up reading nooks on additional floors in the building (the existing Rough Rider Reading Nook is on the ground floor level next to the cafeteria at Roosevelt HS). Thank you!!  PS - We have had a number of books donated by residents of Tower Grove East and Fox Park Neighborhoods, as well as the donation of several magazine subscriptions. When setting up the reading nook, we used grant funds (no longer available) to purchase books from the Eye See Me bookstore, Thrift Books, and Apotheosis on So. Grand. 

We are collecting books and magazines for the Rough Rider Reading Nook, which was established last spring. Ms. Dancy is hoping to expand to several additional reading nooks in other spots in the building. "Contact Us" for more info or to donate. Thank you!!
