March 5, 2019 RCC Meeting & May 26 fundraiser

The Roosevelt Community Council will meet next Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 , at 4:30 pm in Room 102 at the school. Here's a link to our website/blog:  https://rooseveltcommunitycouncil.blogspot.com/     The February 15th post has information about the scholarship we sponsor, in case you know any Roosevelt students who would be interested. Our April and May meetings will be April 2nd and May7th, first Tuesdays, 4:30 pm.  Also, please mark your calendar for our fundraiser for the Roosevelt Football Breakfasts, which will be Sunday, May 26th, starting at noon and running until at least 6 pm. It will be at Rileys' Pub at the corner of Arsenal and Arkansas in Tower Grove East. We will be grilling brat s and hotdogs (and some sort of veggie option), and will have side dishes. SLPS-Specific College Scholarships have been updated

The St. Louis Graduates page with the application for SLPS-specific scholarships has been updated. Link here:   stlouisgraduates page    There are many more scholarships listed on the website, too. The application is on-line on the website. The RCC's scholarship is listed on the page. The amount being offered this year to a graduating senior who has been actively involved in sports at Roosevelt is $4000. Counselors at the school have more information about the requirements and application process, and several RCC members will be visiting Roosevelt to meet with eligible students. RCC Meeting Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, 4:30 pm, and 2019 Scholarship info

The RCC will meet on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 4:30 pm in Room 102 at the school. Enter through the main front door, up the steps off Hartford. Parking is on the lot on the Compton Ave. side of the building. We have updated our RCC Scholarship page with information on the college scholarship we support. Here's a short description: 1960s Rough Rider Scholar-Athlete Scholarship $4,000, potentially renewable for up to four years upon showing progress toward degree at a public or non-profit institution, including non-profit trade school. Must be an active participant in organized sports at Roosevelt High School. GPA: 2.5 or above.
