Seeking Funds and Volunteers for 2012 Football Breakfasts

The RCC is once again seeking funds and volunteers to provide breakfast to the RHS Football Team on Saturday mornings before the team's Saturday afternoon games. This tradition was started by former Principal Terry Houston as part of the school's turn-around effort, and is much appreciated by the team. The RHS Football Team has five Saturday afternoon games scheduled this year - first game is Saturday, August 25th. So far, we have commitments from three churches to provide volunteers for the 2012 breakfasts --- two more dates are open right now: August 25 th - New City Fellowship September 1 st September 15 th - Covenant Presbyterian Church September 22 nd  - South City Church October 20 th Ten to twelve volunteers are needed for each breakfast. Volunteers should expect to arrive at about 8:45 am and should be finished by 10:15 am or thereabouts.  The volunteers help the caterer bring the food and equipment into the school building, set up for the breakfast, hel

When We Meet

The Roosevelt Community Council meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 at 4:30 pm. Check back to confirm the location, but we expect to meet at the school at 3230 Hartford, in the Library on the second floor.

About RHS and the RCC

The Roosevelt Community Council ("RCC") is a community-based organization formed to support Roosevelt High School in the City of St. Louis. The RCC has been meeting monthly at the school since the spring of 2007. The RCC is an all-volunteer organization which includes community members, school personnel, a representative of the Roosevelt Alumni Association, several local aldermen and a state representative. Roosevelt High School is a comprehensive (general admission) high school which is a part of the St. Louis Public Schools. The school draws students primarily from the South St. Louis City area, and has an enrollment of close to 1,000 students. The school is located at 3230 Hartford Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63118.
