RCC 2024-25 Meeting Dates – All Meetings at 3:30 pm **, First Tuesday of each month   ** time change due to schedule change at Roosevelt to 7:15a to 2:12p     December 3, 2024 January 7, 2025 February 4, 2025 March 4, 2025 April 1, 2025 May 6, 2025

T he RCC meets once a month, normally on the first Tuesday of the month at 4:30p. We are going to try meeting at 3:30p in November, and also will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 6th instead of Tuesday since the building is closed on Nov. 5 (Election Day). So Wed., Nov. 6th at 3:30p will be the next RCC meeting, in the Alumni/History room at the school, 3230 Hartford Street. Park on the Compton side of the building and walk around to the front of the building on Hartford and enter through security. Here are our meeting dates for December through June, at 3:30p (assuming the new time of 3:30p works out):  Tuesday, December 3, 2024 Tuesday, January 7, 2025 Tuesday, February 4, 2025 Tuesday, March 4, 2025 Tuesday, April 1, 2025 Tuesday, May 6, 2025 Tuesday, June 3, 2025 (location TBD, probably the Five Star Senior Center if the Roosevelt building is not open)

UPDATE RE TICKETS:      Tickets will be bought using the HomeTown Ticketing App. Spectators will pay online through their phones or home computers. They can purchase ahead of  time or scan the QR codes posted at the gate and purchase the day of the event. $6 plus small credit card fee for football games. After you get to the HomeTown Ticketing App, try searching for "Roosevelt PHL" to find the correct Roosevelt. Use a credit card to purchase the ticket. Once you have the ticket (via email), take a screenshot on your phone so that you can show the photo to the person at the gate. Our once-a-year fundraiser to support Roosevelt High School is this Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1-6p at Riley's Irish Pub, corner of Arsenal & Arkansas. Brats, hotdogs & sides available for purchase plus drinks available from Riley's, and great Raffle Items from local businesses!! Please come & support our local public high school. Our once a year fundraiser for the Roosevelt Football Breakfasts will be Saturday, August 24, 2024, 1p to 6p, at Riley's Irish Pub in Tower Grove East. Please plan to attend and help us publicize!! We are also seeking donations from neighborhood associations, businesses and individuals to support the program.** (**A number of local businesses support us with the donation of gift cards and raffle items as well.) If you would like to make a monetary donation, "Contact Us" and we will send you a copy of our donation request letter with details about the program and also a link for online donation or writing a check.

The RCC has established a joint fund with the Roosevelt High School Alumni Association help pay for a celebration of Roosevelt's 100th Anniversary in 2025, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025. The fund is Fund #936 ** with the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation. Donations can be made here: https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/StLouisPublicSchoolFoundation/donate.html If you make a donation, please put "Fund 936 - Roosevelt" in the message field. Also, please "Contact Us" so that we can make sure you receive a donation acknowledgement letter. ** Fund 936 will not carry an administrative fee, so all proceeds will support the celebration. If there are left-over funds, they will go to support the students and staff at Roosevelt. Donations to the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation are tax-deductible as charitable donations.

The RCC will meet at 4:30p on the following Tuesdays over the summer: June 4, July 2, and August 6, 2024 (first Tuesdays). These meetings will be held at the Five Star (Senior) Center at 2832 Arsenal Street in Benton Park West. Our once a year fundraiser for Roosevelt Football Breakfasts will occur at the end of August, so one topic will be planning the event!!

We are sponsoring a tour of Roosevelt High School on May 7. The tour will take the place of our regular RCC meeting. See below for details. If there are any changes, we will post them here.

These books should be on the shelf at Roosevelt tomorrow afternoon.
